Things to do in Egham

Runnymede is national trust protected meadow, grassland and woodland joining Egham to historic village of Old Windsor. Runnymede is most famous for being the location of the historic sealing of the Magna Carta over 800 years ago on 15th June 1215. The British memorial for U.S President John F. Kennedy can be found on the grounds as well as The Air Forces Memorial which commemorates the 20,456 men and woman of the Air Forces who lost their life during the second World War.

Windsor Castle, located a short trip away from Egham, is the royal residence of the Royal Family. Built in the 11th century, after the invasion of William the Conqueror, the castle has been used by all monarchs since Henry I began his reign. It is the longest-occupied palace in Europe, and is one of Britain's most loved attractions.

Out and About

Just a short journey away is one of the UK's most loved theme parks, THORPE PARK. It is home to the famous SAW ride, Colossus, Nemesis Inferno and the fastest acceleration rollarcoaster in Europe, Stealth. THORPE PARK also hosts Ministry of Sound club nights from April to September as well as its famous Fright Nights events throughout halloween.

Outdoor space

Egham is surrounded by some of the most beautiful greenery in the UK. The Valley Gardens are 220 acres of botanical gardens and is located only a short walk away. The gardens contain a beautiful array of flowers including the largest planting of rhododendrons in the world.
